Create at Upton Country Park is located in the heart of the picturesque Upton Country Park in Poole, Dorset.  A quite unique attraction which offers a relaxing space for customers to sit with family and friends and unwind…..chill-out for a bit and choose from exciting range of creative self-led activities for ages 4 years right up to adults – all available under one roof!

Open every day from 10 am – 5 pm (except Mondays & Tuesdays), why not pre-book a table and get creative!  You can choose from a variety of Craft Kits, Sand Art, Build a Bear, Decopatch, Paint your own Pottery, Model-Making and much more.  There really is something for everyone, and to suit most budgets.  Make your selections, take them to the counter, complete your purchase, take a seat at your table and away you go!  Why not visit and unleash your creative side!  From here it is fun, chat and relaxation – all the way!!

There is no admission charge.  All activities are individually priced from as little as £7.95. 

We accept all major card payments.

Whether you have been out exploring the acres of Country Park and Coastal Paths, whether you have visited Upton House, whether you are a day visitor, a holiday maker, a local resident, a school group or coach party, a group of Brownies, Guides, Cubs or Scouts – you are all welcome to step inside and get creative!

Decopatch

The papercraft of Decopatch originates from France, and involves choosing a paper-mache model or object and a range of paper designs.  The idea is to tear pieces of coloured or patterned paper up into pieces and then stick them to your chosen model.  You can decopatch absolutely anything!    Decopatch is for everyone from any age. It’s fun, creative and therapeutic, the perfect craft to do on your own or with friends & family. The results are amazing and its addictive!

Decopatch makes a great party activity, and is also a good option for school activities.

Our packs of Sand Art come in A4 size and are complete with all you need to create a Sand Art masterpiece.  They are pre-packed with the card picture, a range of colourful sand and a protective sleeve to dress your final masterpiece! it has an implement and full instructions to help you and is very rewarding. Peel back the area of the image you want to cover in coloured sand, pour it on to the exposed sticky surface and shake off the residue sand.

 Are you looking for a Birthday Party experience with a difference?

We are set in a fantastic outdoor Country Park Setting & offer a fantastic space for a relaxing and calming party – ideal for any age! 

‘Create @ Upton Country Park‘ can offer you a creative activity choice for your party goers of either ‘Paint your own Pottery’ or ‘Decopatch’. 

We offer a wide choice in our range for the children to choose from on the day.

The price starts at £11pp for Pottery-Painting & similar for Decopatch, and will include a member of staff to guide and assist the party with the activity only. 

The maximum group size is 10   (as we respect the limited space and our other customers relaxing)!

Please note that we have no dedicated space for any games or any other activities. 

We are also unable to provide food or a venue to eat in.

For larger parties, we offer a ‘Home-Hamper’ Kit.  The hamper is full of all that is required for either a Decopatch or Pottery Painting party at your home.  Simply book via telephone or email, and we will guide you through the choices for each party-goer!  Collect on the day, and return 24 hours later for glazing/firing.

For adult parties (Birthdays or Hen Groups) – we can accommodate an evening opening, upon special request.

Paint your own Pottery

We have a wide variety of pre-fired pottery (bisque) for you to choose from.  Select a design, grab your paint colours using the colour guides and then paint away!!!!  You can paint patterns, true colours or images.  Go for it!

The items range from ornaments to models of animals, as well as household implements. If freehand drawing is not your strong point, we have stencils and even tracing paper to get the image you want.  PLEASE Remember, it takes a week for your creation to be fired – so this is not the best choice if you cannot come back to collect!  You can of course choose to paint an object with acrylic paints and not be fired, this just means it may not be completely waterproof and cannot be put to your lips to drink from, a simple decorative piece!

 We also have postage options available to send on your pottery to your address if you cannot come back!
